Love, love, love this app! Why would I love a spelling app? Because since we started using it, my son has ACED his spelling tests!
With SpellBoard, you simply type in your spelling words and create a quiz. BUT, the best part is that you can also speak the words and say them in a sentence. I try to make up entertaining sentences and my son actually asks me to “hurry up” with entering his words so he can study!
When the student takes the quiz, they can type and/or write the word. This is great because with so many spelling apps, the student can only type their answers, yet when they take the test at school, it’s handwritten. This takes care of both and helps them as they see the word typed and in their own handwriting.
Another cool feature is SpellBoard allows you to create a quiz in practically any language. Wish I had this app when I was taking Spanish!
The app is presently priced at $4.99 in the iTunes Store. Well worth the money in my opinion!
