Rockbridge County is a great place to raise kids, too. 3.5 – 4 hrs. from D.C., 6.5 from NYC, 2.5 Richmond, you can access metro areas for cultural forays without the burden of living there. You can make up for the things that living here does not provide, but the things it does offer are priceless.
The Universities provide an amazing wealth of easy-access affordable cultural opportunities, and the community attracts a shocking number of talented and accomplished people. The artistic and musical communities are astounding! Fell in love with area as Middle Schooler, moved here in early-20′s and am blessed to have raised 3 kids here. Primo!
